Obituary – Evelyn Mae Langille

At the age of 94 Evelyn peacefully travelled to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 16, 2022 in the Truro hospital.
Born on Big Tancook Island August 19,1927 she was the last child of Harvey and Hilda (Mason) Cross. She captured and married Percy Langille in 1946.
In 2005 she moved to her new home next door to her daughter in Welsford, Pictou Co. In 2017 she moved to Karlaine Place, an assisted living facility in Truro.
She enjoyed the freedom and beauty and all Big Tancook had to offer. Upon her move in 2005 she readily became part of a new community, quickly made new friends, and never missed a social event.
She was a devoted church member, loved gardening, sewing, knitting, cooking, baking, entertaining, travelling and especially shopping. She lived a full, vibrant life.
Predeceased by her parents; brothers, Walter and Douglas; sisters, Sadie and Hazel; her husband and many cherished feline companions. She is survived by her son, Jerry (Nancy); daughter, Donna (Bill); grandson, Robyn (Nalaine); their children, Blake, Parker, and Roucke; granddaughter, Chrystal (Scott) and their children, Sarah, Noah and Josiah and grandcats, Caleb, Junipurr and Smoky.

Graveside service on Big Tancook lsland January 27th. The ferry leaves Chester at 10:20 and returns at 1:30. All COVID-19 restrictions in place. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Remains entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, Chester.
